She may have picked up the idea from Sheba, who modeled the latest “wear-the-sens-jersey-with-no-pants” fashion on national TV a couple of weeks ago. Big announcement: Today, the Ottawa Senators acquired Matt Kassian in a trade with the Minnesota Wild to bring some heft and sandpaper into their lineup. Kassian will be joining the team for his first practice on Thursday.

This summer, I’ll be heading out to Vancouver to attend a big Kassian reunion. I still remember the one I went to near Vegreville Alberta, about twenty years ago. My brothers and I raced around my great-great-grandfather’s old homestead on the Kassian farm, and created absolute havoc.
I have hockey in my blood. My Uncle played for the Edmonton Oilers, and my Grandpa Ed played for Team Canada when they won the 1955 World Hockey Championships.
